In a stupendously humiliating upset for Democrats, the solidly blue state of New Jersey just elected Republican Chris Christie for Governor. Christie didn’t just squeak by, either; he finished with a solid 5% lead. The state went to Obama by 15% last year, so He surely expected His divine support to float Jon Corzine over the finish line quite comfortably. He was so sure of it, in fact, that He made a mere five appearances on Corzine’s behalf.
After his faceplant in Copenhagen in October, he must have figured that he just needed more cowbell.
Obama also threw his support behind Creigh Deeds, who lost to McDonnell in Virginia. I sense a pattern….
